Breaking News: New Jersey Govenor Chris Christie asked to leave Republican party over Obama comments

900poundgorilla is expecting the announcement to be made any moment by the RNC, FOX and pundits on right-wing radio regarding comments he made at a Press conference today. The crisis within the Republican party, on the eve of the presidential elections, comes as Christie crossed the line with positive comments about President Obama’s handling of relief and support efforts in the wake of “super storm” Sandy. The storm hammered the eastern seaboard of the United States overnight, with widespread flooding, power outages and damage.

Christie praised the actions  of the Obama administration in confronting the storm’s aftermath, saying that Obama had indeed acted  “presidential” during the crisis. To gathered media and chagrined FOX crews, Christie remarked that the President had instructed him to call the Whitehouse directly if Christie felt he wasn’t getting the necessary assistance from the Federal disaster authorities.

For Republican extremists which vowed to make single-payer healthcare legislation “Obama’s Waterloo,” whose partisanship has all but shut down the government, who has shamelessly used the deaths of 4 Americans in Benghazi on September 11th in  a nakedly partisan political ploy for votes,  and who constantly reveals their true nature by continued legislative assaults against women’s bodies, Christie’s words will be viewed as a betrayal of their sworn obstructionism against the administration.

Christie’s words in support of Federal disaster aid will make it more difficult to cloak Romney’s stated position on FEMA. Romney previously called FEMA and federal disaster aid “immoral” and felt the agency should be privatized. Interesting that Romney, who repeatedly mocks and denies man-made global climate change now sees the potential for profit from natural disasters. It will come as stark relief to disaster victims when the Pizzahut and Burger King disaster crews pull up to their ravaged neighborhoods with loan officers, or bottled water companies arrive selling much-needed water at vastly inflated prices to help them secure a profit margin where people are suffering.

But that’s what America was founded on, right? Pure profit, any way you can get it, and especially from those who are desperate. Sound familiar? I believe Mr. Romney can tell you a thing or two about a very profitable company that his company, Bain, liquidated and outsourced to cheap Chinese labor in a little town in Illinois. Google Sensata and Freeport. There is  man-made disaster, and no one is reporting on that anymore.
