900poundgorilla Announcement

Wade in Congress, supporting Green Party candidate for the Illinois 5th district, Nancy Wade, not only is a friend to The Last Man, but a subscriber to the official blog of The Last Man, 900poundgorilla on wordpress. Please support the Green party and all Progressive socially conscious candidates for Congress, dog-catcher and everything in between as we strive towards a true and sustainable mult-party system, and begin the strategic dismantling of the antiquated and anti-democratic dual party hegemony.

It is time to return power into the people’s hands. So please get out and get registered to vote, and activate your friends and family and neighbors. Money, and money interests have a deep and dangerous stranglehold and control of the current system. It only remains that way if people do not rise up to vote enmasse.

Some years ago I gave a speech at Western Illinois University about genocide. A teacher stood up at the end and asked, “But I am only one person. What can one person do?”

My reply was, “Jesus was one person. Mother Theresa was one person. Nelson Mandela is one person. Be one person.”

Indeed, we have the power to change this nation, and it starts with each of us. It starts with me. It starts with you. Stand up. Be one person.
